Shabbat Shalom: Chai Elul & more sundiving comets
8/24 (begins 8/23 at sunset) – the 18th of Elul, the birthday of the Ba’al Shem Tov and the author of the Tanya, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi. Also the day of the revelation of the Ba’al Shem Tov. A day of the start of the revelation of one’s inner godliness. On this day the oppression of the miracle worker and the sacred priestess is in abeyance and a new revelation to the inner sphere that manifests in the outer sphere takes place.
The vitality which Chai Elul imparts to our divine service increases the blessings we will receive in the coming new year, assuring us all of a kesivah vachasimah tovah, with every person inscribed for a good and sweet year. May this include the greatest blessing — the coming of Mashiach, and may this take place in the immediate future. ~ the Rebbe
Also This Shabbat: CME’s & 2nd sun-diving comet!
(via Spaceweather): “Two CMEs are heading for Earth. The plasma clouds were expelled from the sun on August 20-21 by a pair of erupting magnetic filaments. NOAA forecasters expect the CMEs to arrive on August 23-24, possibly sparking geomagnetic storms around the poles.
ANOTHER SUNDIVING COMET: Here we go again. Another comet is diving into the sun, the second one this week…Like the comet that came before it, this one is a member of the Kreutz family. Kreutz sungrazers are fragments from the breakup of a single giant comet many centuries ago. Because of their common parentage, sungrazers often come in clusters.”
3635 Kreutz (1981 WO1) is a Mars-crossing asteroid discovered on November 21, 1981 by L. Kohoutek at the Calar Alto Observatory.
35 & 36 on the cosmic clock!
“Friday” began (sunset) in 1240 CE
NOON on Friday = 1990
12:30 (after which “shops” must be closed before the Sabbath) = 2011
12:35 – New Years Eve 2013/4 (1st of Shvat/Aquarius)
12:36 – Rosh Hashana 5775
35-36 indicates the period from ISON’s approach of earth on Dec 26 through the key year of 5775:
Rosh Hashana of the Jewish year 5775, or September 14-15, 2015. This day will represent 12:36 on the cosmic clock and could speed things up in a big way. Thirty-six is a number laden with symbolism in the Jewish tradition. It signifies the hidden thirty-six righteous individuals who sustain the existence of the world through their supreme righteousness. The word “eleh” in Hebrew is numerically equivalent to 36. Eleh means “these” and is associated with the revelation and presentation of that which has been concealed in mystery or shielded from view. Furthermore every thirty-six minutes on the cosmic clock correspond to a quarter decade of history, and thus this time will mark one-tenth of our way from noon to the onset of the Sabbath.
The sooner we sense the Sabbath, the closer we are to Mashiach
